I am considering having a cam reground for an R jd. now before anyone jumps in and says stock cam is best, I am thinking more of a more agresive lobe on the injection lobe. I have done a lot of other work to the r including 730 pistons and pumps 830 valves port work etc. ect. I was going to put bigger tips in but am not real convinced this will help much unless the pumps open a bit faster or you increase rpm substantially or both. a note here as you open scroll type pumps up you do not increase fuel delivery at any time during injection cycle you only increase the amount of time the injection occurs. i.e. the more the pumps are opened the longer the injection cycle takes. i would like to shorten that time frame slightly. now my question, has anyone done this ? where? any ideas or help appreciated.Paul
