What is the longest stroker crank I can put in a 60 JD without much crankcase work? Thanks--Dennis

A set of Deere 329 ( I think) diesel rods will allow more cam and crankcase clearance. My self I would slower cheaper and safer in a near stock class. A 60 will place in the top three in any stock 6500 and 8000 class with traction and balance while putting along in creeper 1st gear, Cheap HP is LP pistons, Roberts cam, dry airfilter conversion, all fuel 60 valves with the intakes backcut to a nailhead shape. And blend all the rough edges out of the valve bowls after a three angle valve job.

Thanks for your help.I have acquired a powerblock and pistons and lp manifolds and was just curious about the stroker crank idea.I didn' t remember how much clearance there was for a stroked crank.Thanks again--Dennis

you can go to 7.375 with stock rods....
