Just last night, the M fired off for the first time since I unloaded it and tore into the motor 2 years ago. Actually it's been put back to together and tore back apart twice for bearing problems, but anyway.
I'd like to thank all you guys who have helped me out on here, especially CHADS and a few others. I hope I can do the same for some other guys. I'm thinking of changing the name from "Wild Horses" to "Magic Hat" because it's chock full of little tricks.
Chads: Tried the springs from the recurve kit and it's a night/day difference in response. Looking forward to trying the gov. spring when I get around to mailing you the check.
Someone should collect all the little tricks and publish them on here for all the little guys who don't go to the pros for their engine work. Heck maybe even some of the others would tip down their heads from sticking their noses in the air to read it. Sorry I know everyone's not that way.

Thats the problem. A lot of people don't want competition.

Southern Iowa, around Knoxville. It'll only be 307 cu in against some M's pushing 409, but I did alright with the stock bore so I figured this should be a good first step. It's was only suppose to be 4 1/8, but an overzealous machinist changed my mind for me. Just goes to prove that you really have to do your homework and keep an eye on those things.
I was considering coming up to Laotto and see this big bad 460H, but then Yahoo told me it's a 9 hr trip. Still looking into it, though. After Sigourney this weekend, I have to wait until June for the next local pull. Plenty of time to tweak on it.
