I know that different clubs use different sleds and they add/subtract weight. I was just wondering what kind of weight a tractor in say a 3500-4000# class would pull. Thanks for any info, just curious. I pulled my two super C's in the county fair this year. One barely pulled the big sled, as did only one other out of 8 tractors, though the weight did not come very far at all up the sled. They then switched to the smaller sled and added weight, and the weight came up faster. Just wondering what the old tractors pulled.

John, our club has two sleds. One weighs about 27,000 lbs. and we use it at our home pulls to pull the 2500-4500 lb. classes. We also have a large self propelled sled that weighs 37,000 lbs. with no added weight in the box. 5,000 lb. and up pulls that sled. When we put on pulls outside of town we only take the big sled and all tractors (2500# and up) pull it. Sometimes the 2500# tractors have a little trouble getting it going but usually don't have a problem.
