When pulling pure stock can you shorten the wishbone and draw bar to get to 18 inches from the rear axle or must it be a factory set up?

i pull pure or as it's called this year {near} stock and at most pulls we can suck it in to 18 but one pull will not let it go so i just pull it back out

We don't pull a pure farm stock around here but according to NATPA rules this would be under Div I which means the stock factory setup. I think they even require the Frmalls to pull from a drawbar connected under the tractor but am not sure if this. I think that is the way it should be for a pure farm stock class even including no suitcase weights but only the ones that could be bolted on from the factory.
