I would like to know what crankcase I should/or have to use for a 7.5" crank and massy rods with a 2.5" journal. What all has to be done to make a good strong tractor.? what about the center main???thanks alot, puller

The 670 super is definitly the strongest the Crank will fit fine and the U front cover will fit you have to use a 670 flywheel for a foot clutch or a Late 336 power unit flywheel for a hand clutch. I have an extra one if you are interested.

The M670 Super crankcase is superior to all other U type bottom ends. There is more "beef" to it and more reinforcement in the center main. I found this out recently and saw it first hand. In a high horsepower situation it holds together well! I'd give that a try. Sounds like quite the project you got going there. Good luck.

yes, well, we were all Jd tractors before, but fell in love with the moline i saw pull that was rather small (100hp). i have a crank spoken for with a 7.5" stroke and am looking into the best way to get it to fit. thanks for the help, the one question i still have is will the G 4cyl crank all line up with the super 670? thanks alot for the help. will post a picture in the future of the progress.

Yeah, I belive it will line up. The long stroke might require some grinding and so on. Seen a couple UBs running 200 with 7" strokes.
