Farmall M- chevy V8 pic

Someone had some questions about Farmall M's and V-8s sometime back. Here is a pic. Notice the side rails are still there and there is a starter hiding behind one of them. Let me know if you are interested in any other pics.

It is a small block chevy. I think a big block would fit and even clear the radiator. Might loose the top bolt on the side frames though. The flywheel is stock chevy with a chevy clutch. Input shaft is a couple inches longer than original and splined for the standard chevy disk. Farmall funky coupling was replaced with a chain coupling. An adapter made to mate a chevy throughout bearing to the farmall clutch. I made the bellhousing adapter plate out of the stock farmall separator plate. Couldn't find headers I liked at a reasonalbe price so made a set. As far as the noise, it is a pull tractor it is suppose to make noise. Will be a roll cage added in the near future as well as some lighter wheels and hubs if needed to get to weight class. As far as the radiator cooling it, hope so. The total system holds 3 gallons of water so in theory it should cool it. Got to add an electric fan and see what happens. Hasn't been hooked to the sled yet. So far as gearing goes, take the normal speed in any gear and multiply by 4. Wasn't built to pull a bushhog. Pretty sure they do strange things when turned supersonic.
