Just got back to the deep freeze (ND),wondering how you guys and gals enjoyed the Inverness Fl pull? I hooked and unhooked everyone of you pullers and had a great time although I am still spittin dust, not complaining though!!! I Really enjoyed you guys and the weather. Any coments good or bad?

The NATPA pull I thought went well with the exception of a couple delays. They insured a fair and safe pull. I enjoyed meeting with all of the out of state pullers.I won't go back to any of the Citus county pulls. They weren't prepared for the number of tractors that showed up. They said their concern was to raise money for their education fund, which is fine. But they did very little to insure it was a fair competition. They asked everyone to play fair. My dad pulled against a local man with a CASE 500 in the 7500# class that never weighed and when confronted admitted it weighed 8350. For those who would do anyting for a $2 trophy it was very easy to get an advantage. They started 11/2 hours late on friday. Stopped the pull at 11. It was cold.

Why the complaint about the 400 case. He was almost 60 ft. behind first place and 25 ft. behind second place with only 3 in the class. Now if he had won it would have been a different case. His entry paid for the trophies for 1st. & 2nd. place. Your taking pulling way to serious. Lighten up and have some fun. Up north we never weigh the exibition pulls because most people know the puller doesn't fit the rules for the class otherwise it would be entered in compitition. The entry-hook fee just helps pay for the sled.

The guy was pulling for FUN. Don,t need scales or a class to pull the sled to have fun. He paid to have a little fun. Didn't hurt anyone or alter the placings in the class competion. Why are you so upset. If anyone thought he was in the class they would have thought he got grubbed. He made the other guys look good. Sounds like maybe he had more fun than you guys since he had nothing to win or lose. He was at a tractor pull and pulled his tractor. He's happy, the people who put on the pull are happy to have people attend, I'm happy someone is enjoying their antique tractor, whats your problem?

I don't know if you were at the drivers meeting or not but they asked everyone to be honest and the Case 500 owner/driver was one of the guys running the pull. You would think if he was in charge he would set a good example and do the right thing. If he just wanted to pull why didn't he enter into the next class up that he fit into.
We had fun and learned alot but will not drive 4 hours again to compete in a competion that is not fairly run. If it was just a fun pull they should tell everyone that and not award trophies.

Jim, do you live anywhere near Sana Belle Island. Do you know of any pulls in the area during the year? I have relation who's company has a place on the island so we visited last year. I doubt if theres a person on the island itself who has a decient tractor. And how do those people breath with their nose so far high up in the air?

If the guy took a trophy that didn't belong to him its tainted. So what did he gain but a bad reputation. I'm sure they will be watching a little closer next year. Go back, have a good time and keep it between the white lines.

Jim, I agree with the lack of preparedness for the number of tractors that showed. Also was under the assumption that the 500 case was not in the competition just wanted to pull. I remember that pull and your Dad should have pushed on that one. Our pulling team did everything possible to make it a fair pull, but some people just can't be honest
