chads, I agree with you on the NATPA. I also have A problem with them. I have A 1958 oliver 880. The only class I can pull Is DIV V. It is built to pull DIV III COATPA. Would like to try a USAP pull, biggest problem with that is, 7-8 hour drive to Princeton. keep us posted on the 88. I don't post much on here but I read all the post. So keep preaching to the choir..... chilled 880

The Oliver 880 is the same as IHC 460, 560, MMG6 and a few others they are too new for any other div. Div 5 has never had weight restrictions since it was formed. People used to pull Ihc h, AC-WC and other 4 cyl. tractors until everybody figured out how light you could get 460, and ollie 88. Pulled with NATPA for seven years now had trouble once, but it is still going because it is the only club to pull with in our area. Most people complaining about it better wake up and realize if it would quit many wouldn't pull most of the fall and winter only at there small summer pulls. The tech crew that NATPA has now has done a super job of getting the rules enforced and teching the tractors the right way.

I am sure USAP will welcome you with open arms. Lots of good tractors out of ohio come and pull with them all the time. The 88 is now all thawed out enough to get the rear end drained on it. Got the engine apart, I got a set of 77 rods for it, and sent the block to have it cleaned up. I am cleaning up the head, still alot of work to do on the ol OLLIE!! But will pay off in the long run. Natpa hopefully will get the problems straightened out. I am not bad mouthing them,, just rousing up the members to get them to listen to the pullers. It will be a long battle I am sure, but will be worth it. Come on over and pull,, Chad

I hear Ya, I've got an 880 also. I set it up to pull in the USAP super farm stock class. Princeton is a 2 1/2-3 hour drive and I've yet to pull down there. I did find out that the Indiana Tuggers now let '58 and older pull, so there are more pulls closer to home for me. An 880 is really no different than a Super 88 or 88. The power booster is the only thing and most classes don't let you shift any way. WB.

Tuggers are a good group to pull with. I only attend one pull a year with them unfortunatly, but always felt they were a good honest group to pull with. Chad

Why don't you ALL stop bitch'in and form a NEW National Tractor Pulling Club, that way you can use what's good with NATPA and throw out what's bad....you could call it USATPA (united states antique tractor pullers association)....HECK I would even join the club. I has a nice ring to it!
USATPA.....USATPA..... USATPA...."mmmmm m"
