One thing that you want to do is master how to pull the torque, and at the right time. I have seen so many guys that pull the torque right at the end, and when they do it, there motor speeds up so fast, that they spin out. Never pull the torque back when your front end is in the air unless your motor is dying on you. Slowing the tractor down will cause the front end to come up even quicker. At least that is how it is with my 560. I see it as the best thing to idle the tractor down when you go to spin out, cause if you tires are spinning fast, you will be kicking the dirt out at a more rapid speed, and therefor, make you dig a hole in less amount of time, and stop you quicker. Good luck!!

Pulled a 400 Farmall for years. The best I can tell you is, We run 6500lb stock classes with it. It had 65 hp, ran it with 15*5*38 Firestones 151's. Had a factory "U" shaped drawbar with a hitch plate on it. We did not shorten it any. (ran at stock length) Because the Super M-ta and 400,450 ar longer than a M. We put on all wheel weights on. It was always in the top 3 in the pulls we went to around here. Didn't seem to matter what type of track it was. They balance out nice with this combo. MMMMM..... why in the world I sold that tractor I'll never know. But remember to have fun with it that is what it is all about. Donnie

get some good 16.9x38 firestone field and roads and get around 90hp from it, and go to town. make sure you have it ballenced right..and don't let off the throttle on a transfer pull like some people do...it doesn't work as good as just using the momentum.
