I would like to lose another 300 lbs on our 1950 Oliver 77, right now we are at 3400# with out the driver. So far we have: Pressed steel rims front(14") and back (15.5" x 38"), removed belt pulley, removed mechanical lift, homemade seat, homemade gas tank, homemade hitch, homemade wheelie bars, removable weight brackets, all the tin work is still in place (fenders, side covers etc my choice)and the PTO is installed (club rules). If you have any suggestions, please give an estimate on what the weight reduction would be.

If the PTO does not have to be a workin one take the shaft out that the clutches are on and just put the pto piece back on the back that would loose ya about 40 pounds.Weld on hubs will help alot.

You have to lose the fenders. Weld on hubs. Cut off the rear axle that is not needed. Lighter-and smaller radiator. No hubs on the front, go with spindles. Lighter battery. No gen. or altenater. A 66 front end. No tubes in the tires. Just take a good look what is not needed or that can be replaced with something lighter. Take Care!

I do not understand what you mean by spindles instead of hubs on the front? And what is involved in installing a 66 front end and how much weight would I save?

The 66 front will bolt on. You would lose about 75 lbs. By spindles-I mean you run a wheel that is a spindle mount. No hub is used. 66 fronts are getting hard to find.
Good Luck!
