ok this is the way i see it. if you want to play then there are rules and everyone breaks them. like the state laws for speeding, running red lights, driving with no seat belts, if you get caught you get a ticket or warning it's the rule. so each pulling club has rules no matter who national or local. if you don't like the rules don't go, if you don't like tickets don't speed or what ever. if you like to pull then pick the classes and div set your tractor up and pull, we probably go to 50 to 65 pulls a year and hook 3 to 8 or more each time out. do i have more money than sense no i just like to pull. it's a good thing some of your local clubs don't enforce the rules or some would have nowhere to go pull. so if you want to bash me for this go ahead i will sit here and laugh just like i do at some of the other crap on here. p.s. you learn more by watching and asking questions than crying because little billy has a bigger candy jar than you. seeeeeyaaaaa .

You guys are prolly the only group that hooks more times than we do at a pull. Do I get a little frustrated at some of the things that go on, sure, but always ready to try to improve and go back for more, whether it be fun, work or punishment. Always fun, sometimes more, sometimes less. Havn't pulled for over a month and am ready to go have some fun. As you know always tinkering with the Ollies trying something new, maybe some new aerodynamically engineered sheet metal for increase air flow from the high rate of ground speed. I have been known to speed on the highway as well as on the pulling track, lights flashing, horns blowing.
Kinda like being married, grin and bear it, and figure out a way to do it better next time.
I was taught to play nice and have fun.
Did you guys go to Wichita? How did you come out?
How's the Holtondome coming?
See you next week at Princeton?
Later,
SPT (Known as the pulling team that has the most fun)

I take that a compliment being compared to some of the more professional pullers. Do not know Mr. Bear, but have seen him pull a few times. As I recall, he had some really good looking and strong pullers.
Toys are for fun, that's why we have them, don't think my winnings for the year will change my tax bracket.
Later,
SPT The team that has more fun.

I know guys who spend $30000 for a fishing boat, motor and trailer, and then need a $40000 pickup to pull it. Pulling is cheap comapred to that.

You forgot...the 20,000 plus dollar tractor, and then add in the 5000$ trailer and along comes the 40,000$ pickup...it's all the same. One hobby is the same as the rest. It's all a matter of how much we each enjoy it. How much each of us spend on it is our business and no one elses. I like my things nice and take care of them. I was once criticised for taking so much time on a paint job on my tractor...cause it made someone elses look that much worse. Take it for what it's all worth, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It seems all of the whiners here say they pull for fun, then have your fun and don't worry about what someone else does, you're not in it for the money are you? then go have your fun!
