does anyone have a used iron lung for sale? Just got home from the enchanted cave of smoke. I am plesed to announce NAPTA hasn*t changed a bit still inconsistent with the rules, things like your draw bars are wrong but we will let you pull this time. 30+ h,p, tractors pulling in the low power class, and it just goes on and on. Makes me wonder will these folks ever get it together, or should real Antique pullers start a new organization? If USAP was closer to me they would never get another hook fee from me, cause they really suck.

Are you sure it was the length of the drawbar not the drawbar being supported above the center point of the rear axle?

OK The NATPA is not perfect I will agree .Now Lets look at your post.Did anyone with the hitch problem beat you ?Is the hitch problem what beat you ?If you had a hitch problem and was unaware of the rule change and drove 10 or lets say 100 miles would you have liked them to overlook it and let you pull?But tell you to correct it before the next time you hooked with them?Was there any other pulls for you to go to this weekend?If so where were they?Do you just like to complain?

thought about going to hartford ky. next weekend. as close as they get to us. but still along way to go and can't pull. never pulled with them before.

i think you are wrong about the natpa becase they were all over me on the rules on draw bars and heighth and weight bracket distance on the front. i thought they did an excellant job on checking wheely bars. thats my opinion.

Mark, to what I am refering to is at the drivers meeting when they announced that they knew their were some short draw bars and wrong exhaust pipes etc. but we are going to let them slide this time. Do you happen to recall this statement?
Some of these tractors have slid so much that they should have runners underneath them. I*m sure your tractor,passed the tech inspection and the way you got it to pass was that you ask questions or read the rules,right? What I am saying is if I can make my tractor right surely any one who will take the time to find out the rules can too. It is my feeling that as long as their is just one more time,no one will take the rules seriously, and the rules to pass tech is not rocket science. Maybe I am wrong about the blame being NAPTA could be its the local promoters, but if you sanction the pull then do it right, surely with the numbers they say they are getting they can*t be hooked starved,cause the pay back we are getting is not making any of us rich. I hope you had fun and a safe trip home.

WE WENT TO THE PULL WAS TOLD AT THE TECH INSPECTION ON FRIDAY THAT WE HAD TO GET ARE DRAWBAR RIGHT OR WE COULD NOT PULL THANK GOD THERE IS GREAT PEOPLE IN WICHITA LIKE ED TOLES HE LET US USE HIS SHOP AND TIME TO CORRECT ARE PROBLEM. BAD THING IS THE RULE WAS INFORCED ON FRIDAY BUT IT WAS OK TO PULL ON SATURDAY WITH YOUR DRAWBAR THE WRONG LENGTH.
