what is the thinnest cams ya'll are safely running?

In a 6.25 stroker H The cam is cut down where the rods are to clear,, it is .550 in diameter. in 4 spots. no breakage, no bending either,, YET.

If you are talking an 'H' farmall, I have gone as thin as .400 with flates. Cutting round weakins the cam to much. Don't recomend this method.

I agree with you about cutting flats instead of a full round cut,, It does seem to hold as long as it is not abused,, I have never had the experience of breaking the cam yet,, but,, there is a limit as far as a person should cut them down.. The best methods work, and the best ones are ones that are tested and used,, Lots of ideas out there,, but the best way,, I agree with you,, flats are the better way.. Hpuller2001
