These pictures coutesy of Greg Lussetto of Bridgeport,NE.The pictures are of his Dad's cousins old puller which they recently found and now own.

Pictured is Joe Newkirk from Eddington,Nebraska pulling his 1206 wheatland in Alliance,NE in the early 1970's.Greg said this tractor pretty well ruled the 12,000 and 15,000 lb classes in western,NE until Stan Gotl from Bridgeport built a 986 in the mid 70's.

Greg said this was the main work horse on Joes farm. When the farming was done the cab came off and the pulling parts went on.When pulling was done back to the field she went.

Click the link for a 2nd picture.Look at all the weights for the 15,000 class.I have another picture of it too.

Thanks for the pic 1206, I remmber that one, also for all the ones below. Was Stan's 986 the one he called Stanley Steamer? They were impressive to watch, back in them days. Ask Gregg what he did to me at the Lyman, Nebr. Pull, "the rascal", we was & still laughing about it at the Ogallala pull.

Bob, Yes Stan Gotl's 986 was the "Stanley's Steamer" tractor that pulled at NTPA pulls and at the Indy Super Pull.It ended up in my area and was the "Red Devil" that was pulled for quite awhile in the 80's by Melvin Nation out of Mound City,Kansas.

Havent heard from Greg L.in a long time.Guess he stays pretty busy.
