Everybody is so concerned about allis running his motor at 5800. What about ntpa.Take a 1066 stock crank 100 to 200 pounds boost and spin it at least 5000 rpm's. Now that is a bomb waiting to go off. I have seen allis motor, steel main caps, complete girdle, steel flywheel, and a car balancer. In my opinion as long as there is safety measures taken these motors are safe. Just my 2 cents.

The reason everyone is concerned about rpms is that they are uneducated about the motors, they're not huge stroker motors and thus if they don't understand it, kick it out! But Steve, I have a question for you. I have seen Allis' motor as well. I want to know where you get the nerve to even suggest the idea that Lakes have a chev motor in their oliver and yet you see nothing wrong with all the above mentioned in the Allis motor, come on!! You are going on total hear say about the ollie motor, and you know it. You have most likely never seen it, and if you did, you didn't know what you were looking at anyway, isn't that right Steve!!?? Typical Indianhead, if you can't beat it, boycott it! That way at all the boring little Itpa pulls, you can just have the 3 WC's in the 3500 hobby, anyone tries to pull against them, and wins, then they must be cheating! Ain't that right Steve?? It's fun to go to pulls where Mondors bitc*ing doesn't matter, then folks get to see a good 3500 class.

Northwoods puller I have a question for you. first of I do not pull I am just a spectator. But when did a Hart Par 70 be able to beat 77 olivers, 88 olivers and farmall M's. That is like taking a H Farmall and consistently beating the M's. Something does not add up. Also why is Lakes answer always know one will ever see our motor. I was at a pull and they were protested and not by the Mondors and that was the same answer that they gave. They must be trying to hide something. Just my 2 cents.

Steve, they can beat 77's and 88's the same way that Allis, "we both know who he is" can beat them, a well designed and built motor. It all depends how much time effort and money is put into the motor. Lakes have done what all good pullers go through, they have had thier fair share of problems and breakdowns to get where they are now. If the guys with the 77's and 88's around here would spend as much time and effort as Lakes do, then Kranky probably wouldn't beat them. You have to admit, the olivers in Indianhead are nothing very spectacular, Dan Hansen is about the best one, and he hardly ever runs worth a darn, and on his best runs he has nothing special at all for rpms. At a pull next year, listen to the difference in the tone of Lakes' compared to the others, there is a lot of difference. Oh yeah Steve, in case you're wondering, I am not affiliated with Lakes in any way, just friends.
