Does anyone know where one of those memory tachometers can be found, what they cost? Do they work?

Jermy, One of the many associations that I pull with will be using a memory tachometer next season. The tachometer will be placed on the sled with a cord long enough to reach the back center of tractor. Cord will have a common plug that will attach to each tractor which will be required to have a matching mate. The tachometer will monitor engine RPM while hooked to tractor and will lock on the highest RPM reached. Tractors will be required to be equipped with a tachometer sensor and connector furnished by the tractor owner. Tachometer monitor will be property of the pulling association. A track official will check the memory tachometer at the end of each pull. If the memory tachometer is not working due to the tractor sensor or wiring or tachometer value or RPM is in question, tractor RPM will be checked with a hand held tachometer. If RPM is found over the tractor will be disqualified. A tech official at there option, may use an association owned tachometer to check the tractor at any time (before, after or during the pull). The tachometer is cleared by simply momentarily touching a push switch. This unit comes from someone that is custom building them. If you are interested contact me through email and I will get the information to you as I do not know it right now.
