4231 HEAD IS A VERY GOOD CHOICE, BUT YOUR COMPRESSION RATIO WILL BE VERY HIGH. YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO RUN PUMP GAS!!! CHECK WITH THE MACHINE SHOP, HOW MUCH OF THE VALVE IS SHROUDED IN THE HEAD !!!! GET RID OF THE VALVE GUIDE IN THE RUNNER IF THERE IS AN EXTENSION. NEED TO RUN A 670 DIESEL MANIFOLD, AND A COLD INTAKE MANIFOLD. CHANGE THE GOVENOR TO A GVI TYPE. SOUND'S LIKE A GOOD WELTERS SET UP!!! IT'S GOT TO BREATH THRU THE CARB, PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO MANIFOLDS, ASK THE MACHINE SHOP THE VALUE OF BIGGER VALVES. EVERYTHING NEEDS TO MATCH TO ACHIEVE BANG-VERSES=BUCK!!!

GOOD LUCK THAT'S AN INTENSE PIECE OF EQUIPMENT

All depends on what RPM range and what classes you'll use it for.
