A friend of mine wants to put a 350 Chevy in a WC
that was headed for the scrap pile. Other than making motor mounts, he was wondering what to do
about the flywheel, clutch, tranny, etc. Would especially like to hear from any one who has done
this before. Thanks.

It can be done. A friend of mine done a WD years ago. It pulled for years and had no problems with the drivetrain. He had a 390 mounted on it. He redrilled the flywheel to match the crank. Hooked it straight up to the transmission. How he did the hookup I don't really know. It was really a screamer and a wild ride. It is in retirement now but he pulls it at the county fair from time to time. He originally built it and farmed with it for a while in the early seventies. His son is the one who started pulling it. If everything is right -it will hold up.

The wd rearend did hold up for about 1 season but
still couldn't take the power that the 440 chrysler was putting out. It was about 750hp at 505 C.I. If everything is stock it may hold.

Don't do it to use as a puller, you'll puke the rearend out. We even tried a wd but still to weak. If your using it for parades and such it'll be fine. Good luck

How did you guys hook up the flywheel and clutch
to the tranny? Did you use the V8 flywheel and WC clutch or the whole WC flywheel and clutch? Thanks for any advice.

got rid of it all and ran a automatic with a kit in it and a short tailshaft. Also a 3800 RPM stall converter. Good luck
