You'll have to be specific on what year John Deere A you need the Powerblock for! There are 3 different kinds for the John Deere A, and they are not interchangable. So you need to say what year JD-A you have. Don't quote me 100% on this but I believe the #1 fits up to 1946, #2 fits 1947-49, #3 fits 1950 John Deere A through the end of their production and also fit the John Deere 60.

the #2 will fit the early styleds, we have 2 of them, and the #3's will fit the late A's, we have one of them. the #1's are for unstyleds. how did your pullin season go this year? didn't have much luck here...:S

#2 will not bolt in the pre 46 without changing the bolt pattern

You will need the #2 Powerblock. I bought one for a 47 JD-A about 5 years ago and gave $700 for it and it needed to be bored oversize to clean up the cylinders. They are probably go for that price now a the very least, if you find one cheaper than that you'll be doing good. Every now and then you see one listed in the classifieds of the Green Magazine.
