How many NATPA pulls are there across the US? I have not heard of that many in the state of Texas. I have read so much about all these awesome tractors from up north that I would like to pull against some of them down here in Texas. College Station or Waco might be a good central location in Texas for a pull. Just a thought.

seems to me that the so called national organizations dont consider anywhere east of ohio as part of USA. us here in the northeast would love some winter pulls that we didnt have to travel 7-800 miles to attend

Sounds like a great response, but it seems that my question was dodged. What about Louisiana, Mississippi? Are these states not in the nation? I attend the best ag school in the nation, Texas A&M University. Seems that the best school wants $12,000 of my money every year, so I can't haul to the other side of the State to go to a pull. I sure as heck would haul a few hours for good competition. If any pullers have any comments, post away. Is the NATPA national? Is the USAP covering the US?

Is the National Football League really national? I think they left out a few states. Is Texas A&M only for Texans?

Texas A&M is not only for Texans. If you want to come and you meet the requirements, you are more than welcome. But we are in Texas, so that is why we have Texas in our name. National is in the NATPA's name, but it isn't. Most of the population for Texas would be better served with a pull in central Texas. As for the NFL, I wasn't refering to them. See this as a challege to the NATPA and USAP to bring pulls across the country. If anyone knows why not to, I would love to hear a comment

I think Brady Morrow has struggled himself getting local Texans to support Amarillo , TX (yes, Texas!) pull! They wouldn't help support him, so why try another Texas pull!!

There is a very good reason, the pull is in Amarillo. Look at where that is on the map in Texas. Just think about it. I attend pulls in Columbus, Burton, Hearne, Stonewall, Brenham and Temple. Get a pull in central Texas.

Just so ya know I am one of the chair persons for the pull in Burton, Texas. This is a challenge for the NATPA and the USAP. I am not saying one person do it. If you wanna call yourself national, then be national. I think its a load of crap. So, whoever is in charge of pulls for the NATPA needs to get off his high horse and get pulls in every state. Have state qualifers. Make the darn thing national. Whatever, but don't sit up north, have the majority of the pulls there, put a pull in the panhandle and say, "well nobody comes" Lets get a real organization together. The rules are there. Just get the thing together almost like little league. You don't have teams travel 800 miles to play a game.

The NATPA is not a promoter or organizer of pulls (except I think of the Championship pull). If you want a pull in central Texas, either find a person or group that is willing to organize and promote one, or do it yourself instead of complaining. The NATPA and USAP are basically rules organizations just like the NTPA or ATPA in the professional ranks. The NTPA doesn't organize and promote pull and neither does the ATPA except for the Winter National in Ft. Wayne. They go where the pull organizers and fairboards want them to sanction an event. This is the same way for the two antique organizations.
