I pull a stock case DC in the 5500 class. My wife just won first place in Houston, MS this past weekend. The tractor is stock, water in rear tires, tire pressure set at 17, 18 inch hitch height. we compete 90% of the time against other stock tractors, 1960 and older. Yes she did beat several super M', big JD's and others.

I pull in those classes with Bone Stock Farmall tractors. I pull a 300 with a 169cu engine and a 400 Diesel with a 264cu engine. Its getting harder and harder to compete in the so called stock tractor class. Most are not stock. In the 6 to 7 thousand pount class I pull against Farmall 560 tractors. These tractors came stock with 65HP the 300 came with 35HP. Somehow this just doesn't seem right. I don't get any first place trophys but I get quit a few 2nd and 3rds

Hey, how do you get 300 cubes out of your WD6? You would have to have 4 1/4 pistons to get 298. I have not been able to find any sleeve and pistons sets for these diesel that large.

Roger in Michigan it's Farmall and John Deere. They are easy to find tractors and reasonably cheap. It's easier to figure out how to set your tractor for a particular track when there arehalf a dozen others just like your's going down the track first. ;-)

I pull an stock Oliver 88 standard from 5500 to 7500 with no problems. Next year I hope to pull from 4500 to 7500. There aren't very many hooks over 7500 around for a stock tractor. I will get more hooks going lighter than heavier.

Rodger: My dad and I pull in Central Florida. We bought a Case DC in March so we could compete in the 5500# and 6500# classes which seem to have the most tractors to compete against. Lots of Farmall's down here also. Lots of J/D's also
