I came across a set of 23 degree angle tires that will fit my tractor for pulling, but they are worn bad. The sides are good and no cuts or cracks, but in places along the middle of the cleat they are worn down slick with the tire but have a little tread in center and on sides. Would these pull better than new R1s, are they to slick for pulling. Anybody tried any this slick, any opinions is appreciated, thanks Ken.

Ken worn tires are alright if you have a lot of wheel speed or the right track I agree with IH H puller try them first before you go and spend more money on new tires

Thanks for the input, wheel speed is something i don't have, first gear on a 60 JD is kinda like a snail, but i,ll try them anyway. Thanks again, Ken.

might be too slick, if you cut them though you can go down into the carcass and get about 3/8 to 1/2" of tread.

My advice to you is to put them on wider rims. If they're 15.5, put them onn 16in. rims or whatever size you have. It might not work, but if they would happen to be Firestone Deep Tread, you'll be in business. Just my 2cents. Good luck.

I would at least give them a try before going and buying new ones. Good luck again.
