Can you get a Unstyled G into the 4000 or 4500 weight classes.I will be removing the rear cover and the cast wheels will be replaced with pressed steel and 18.4 X 38 firestones.What are some other tips for saving weight on these tractors? Thank you

have seen a couple G's pull in the 4000 with 18.4's with frontend weight one styled one unstyled,stripped looking,but very serious pullers

I reckon you could get in the 4500 but the 4000 is almost impossible I have a unstyled G that i have pulled in the 4700 class with about 150lb moveable weight and i weigh 185. i have the back cover off and 12 inch front wheels and 14.9 x 38 pressed steel rear. I just couldn't ever get it hooked up in the light class, has to have around 500lb of moveable weight for me to get it hooked! Good Luck!

That's what I was wondering. Lighter MIGHT be better, but how in the world are you going to get it to hook?
