LP distributor on John Deere G ?

I have heard of useing a Lp distributor from the 60 or 70 tractors on the A and G pulling tractors.Could someone tell me what is the advantage of useing one and how much power if any can be gained? Thank you

it only fires on the compression stroke and not the exhaust stroke too. heresay figures are as high as a 8 h.p. increase, but most people don't see that much of a difference.
