Case Model 430, 530, 530B, 630, 730, 830, 930, and 1030

Year Starting Serial Number 1960 8160001 1961 8168801 1962 8190001 1963 8208001 1964 8229001 1965 8253501 1966 8279001 1967 8306501 1968 8332101 1969 8356251 The Serial Number is located stamped on a name plate fastened to the instrument panel for most Case tractors. Can also be on toolbox

If I remember correctly your tractor was the one at the Batesville, AR. pull with the 2 stacks, it is obvious that is a mid to late 60's version of the 930. Case started making that tractor in 1960, making it too new for our pull. Sorry.

Buy you a 900 Case, 660 IH, 830 JD, 99 Oliver and bring it on down.

can you tell the difference between 900 and 930 without looking for a serial number tag? some 930's were built in 59, as well as 730, and 830. Oh yeah, all 930's had 401. 900 were 377, 1030 was 451.

You're absolutely correct. My mistake. The 930 that was 377 cubic inches was LP Gas. All diesels were 401 cubes. I've noticed that some of the 930 tractors had the hand clutch lever a little farther to the left than the hand clutch levers on the 900 series. Other than that I can't tell the difference without looking at the tag.

900 Case had a hand clutch, after that I have been told other things to look for.

On second thought, they did make two different sizes of 930 Diesel from 59 through 62.One was 377 cubes and the other was 401.

What's the big one? There was only one size of 930 diesel made. Are you referring to size of the driver?
