pure STOCK tractor pulling?

It's been 25 years since I've had the notion to pull a tractor. For some strange reason, the urge has hit again. I have several tractors, that are all un-altered stock, right off the assembly line tractors. Does anyone still have pure "farm stock" right out of the field pulls. I live in the southern Indiana area, not far from Louisville, Ky. I would be willing to haul as much as a couple hours from home, to get a chance to try my hand at it. I'm not going to set the world on fire, but I don't want to get blown out of the water either. Anyone know about such a class?

We've been around pulling for a long time and come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as STOCK anymore. Every tractor has certain things that aren't stock. We pull with the HOT RODS all the time and if there is a speed limit class they don't do anything because they can't build speed.

we pull pure stock. RPMS are checked and winner is put on the dyno most have tire size like 6000lb is 14.9

My club is quite a ways up from you (Lansing, MI). We made a class just for guys like you and I with old farm tractors. It has proved itself quite popular this year. There is a limit to what we can control inside of a motor, but we enforce stock manifolds, no cut tires, stock hitches etc. If you would like to hear out rules, let me know. We have two other good classes for the rest of the "spirited" tractors out there.

we have a class that is "out of field" farm stock.we try to keep it as fair as possible.you are welcome to come and we aren't that far either..... Hopkinsville, Ky. we have a pull this Saturday(27) at 1 PM. if you are interested i can give you directions!

I may be there. We have family in Millwood, in Grayson county. All I have to do is to convince the wife that a tractor pull is the best way to celibrate our wedding anniversary.

Where at in Hop-town? What about tire size? The tractor I want to pull has 16.9/30's, and wieghs about 5500lbs. I promise that I won't be taking anyones trophies home with me, I just want to se how it pulls against other tractors. (John Deere 2440. Straight out of the box stock)

has to be 1959 or older. it is located off of hwy 68/80 on 1349 between cadiz and hoptown
