Hey Chad I emailed your yahoo address. I'll try just putting something here and get your response.

I have a chance to buy a M on saturday. Only reason buying is because they are tooo cool and I want to try my hand at pulling competition.

Does the M put me in a higher class of Pulling then let's say a JD A?

I live 1/2hr South from Fort Wayne (winer), IN. My Brother-I-L is look at the JD but the Big I is to my liking. Also any contacts of guys that wouldn't wouldn't mind me spending my dime to call them and meet and talk about pulling info plus rules would be awesome... thanks in advance

An M that has around 60 horse would compete rather well in the 6500 lb class. Our M has about 66 horse and it competes real well in the 6500. I have been told by a number of pullers that an M will pull the best with the 14-9-38's. But that is just my opinion though. The toughest thing with the M's is knowing how to balance them just right. The only way to tell what it will do is to try it and see what happens. Best of luck!

DanM; Why don't you come to Nappanee In. Sunday. We are havivg a pull there, it starts at 9am. There is some very good tractors. A lot of Ms and at least one JD "A". For the most part a M is a beater pulling tractor than an "A" JD. It is easyer I think to get HP out of an M than it is out of a JD "A". I pull an "A" and love the heck out of it. I bought this "A" because it is an under dog. There not a lot of "A"s that pull. Mostly they pull Gs. If you need to ask witch one is better you need to go with RED. I like the sound and I think most JD owners feel the same way. Hope This Helps ('';'') BUDD

Hi, I did get your message, I have not got the new Yahoo mail figured out quite yet. My other email address is [email protected]. The m is in a different class than the AJD compared to stock to stock. The M has more hp than the A from the factory. Even though the Ajd is underpowered, it has a wide selection of transmission options, They had a slow creeper gear in some, for lower hp engines, that is an asset, then there was a fast first gear. Great for when you have the power to turn the tires, and will run a little bit over 3mph depending on tire size. The M's first gear is pretty much standard, unless you have the creeper gear, or a 9 speed. with 15.5X38's, and 10% over rpm, it would be around 3.2 mph, on a hard biting track. When you compare classes, it depends on what you are set up for. Farmstock, or modified. I would not sell the Ajd short, it may surprize you someday!! But in my opinion, when you are dealing with stock unaltered tractors, (And I am not predjudice over color!!) My choice would be the M. Just my opinion, Good luck hope you bring home a good one!!!
