Super 88 power-up help?

I have a 1958 Oliver Super 88 the motor is in good shape but it does not have enough power. What can I do to bump the horsepower to 70+ hp. Thanks for any help.

An intake from a diesel 1850 turned upside down and mounted to the 88 head will help. The 1650 deisel intake is larger if i have my facts right and may slow the charge velocity down a little. An adaptor plate may be necessary.

What can I do internally do the engine to keep the outside of the engine looking stock.

Get bigger valves installed with some good angles cut and have Bullet cams regrind a cam. Changing the rocker arm ratio should be straight forward and simple enough if you can get someone to machine new stands for the rocker rail and then add something to the rocker arms to give them more length (hint, its flat on the bottom and about 3/4 inch diameter and has a post that sticks up that is about an inch and a half long and 1/4 in diameter and fits in the end of the rocker, after you remove the tapet from the old rocker, not perfect but does work well).
Better fuel than what you are using now, colder air than you are using now, mill the head down some to raise the compression, set the timing to what ever the engine likes best and not what the factory says. Use a synthetic (spelling?) oil and maybe a friction reducer like Militec or Oil Extreme, there are others that I know work. I have not done it but if your carb has a sharp turn on the short turn side I would try to radius it some. Air is going to take the shortest path into the motor. Sharp edges and hard angles disturb that flow path and build pressure walls that slow down the flow. Hope some of this make sense. None of should cost much if you find an honest machinist.

M W 3.875 bore 77 deisel rods 2in off set stroke the crank 1650 cam and intake port head bigger valves you will make 85 hp all day long
