K N airfilter ???

Took off my oil bath air cleaner to get lighter, does any one have any part numbers for installing a K & N oil filter or any other brand of cone filter on a J.D. 60??? Should I run the plumbing to the front of the radiator like the original (for cooler air) or just run it up a 30 degrees in the new room area??
Any theories would be great!!

If you go to K&N'S web site you can figure out how big a filter you need and then pick one as they have many sizes and styles. If you get a part # from the web site you can have any larger auto parts chain order one. I wouldnt try to order one without looking at the web site.

If your 60 has a hole in the hood were a breather pipe was put it above the hood less dust and cooler air will be good for a extra horse

Call Summit Racing and tell the you want a cone filter. Tell them what diameter pipe it fits on. They don't have them shown in the book, but they do have them. This is what I did. About where to put it? I ain't for sure which would be the best. I got mine mounted right before the carbuerator. The only drawback is the fan blows all of the dirt right onto the filter.

You might just be sucking some hot air also. You might be able to burn more fuel if you got more oxygen into the motor by allowing it to suck dense cool air in and not the thin expanded hot air.

Went to the local hardware store this afternoon and made up a flow tube from PVC, it looks good but I am wondering if the 2" ID will effect the air flow (Don't think so the way it sounds, once dynoed will see if there is a difference???)Guys thanks for your advice
