The other day I posted a question about tips for me on my first pull. Well today I pulled my first pull here in Maine. I pulled my Allis Model B. I wanted to enter the 2000 lb class but ended up weighing in at 2150. Being a rookie I had no extra weight to put on so I jumped into the 2500 lb class weighing 2150. I think If I drained my gas out because I had a full tank, and removed the handle for the front draw bar used for the plow I could have been close to the 2020 lb limit. Anyway even in the higher class and being my first pull I did pretty good. I finished 4th. We pulled a progressive drag and I pulled it 98' 4". Missed 3rd by 38 inches. I was pulling with almost 10 lbs preasure in my tires and my draw bar at 17 inches. I need to raise my draw bar some I think to go to the limit of 20" and lower my tire preasure some. It was a lot of fun and I am looking forward t many more. Thanks to those that gave me some good tips.
