Mark Are you running the Deere gasket? I used to blow one about once a year until I switched to a FELPRO gasket, and haven't had any trouble since. It has a metal sheet in one side, and composite on the other. Get it thru an auto parts store, Part no. 7744SBX. I've seen a lot of different gasket coatings mentioned on this site, I paint with aluminum paint and put it on wet. As AR man said have the block and head checked and maybe deck them both 0.005" or 0.010" to make sure they are flat. Good luck, Mike
