bet that got a lot of you fellows chuckling. my son loves the old pony i purchased a couple of years ago. he can reach the peddles and is comfortable driving it. it smokes like a train, got to rebuild the engine. will it fit in a pulling class, or should i keep looking for something for him to pull with? Thanks for the information.

Probably not a good idea. I believe Ponys only have main bearings on the ends of the crank shaft, none in the center. I have seen a couple Pony cranks broken when they were being used with a belly mower. Maybe a Case VAC or the like would be same size with a better enigne.

I am sorry to hear that you are going to pull a WC as I really do not care for the tractor, but they do make excelent pullers. They seem to be very light weight for their power, especialy when you put WD or D-17 guts in the engine. Good Luck!
