Getting 75 hp out of an M is not too hard to do at all! You could get 75 hp with mostly stock parts. I have gotten 82 hp out of a 4.25 bore M. Sounds crazy? But its true. You could accomplish this by buying a set of sleeve and pistons for a SM-450. and M rods. Find a 450 gas head, maybe machine a little off of it if you like, install a copper head gasket, and a SM-450 cam. Make sure you get high compression pistons! Makes an incredible difference for an old M! For less $$$$$$$$$$!!! ChadS

don't know it a regular m block can hold 4 an a quarter, if not go with 4 inch and stroke it half an inch or just get an M&W crank...with the 4 and a quarter it'll be 326 cubes...should get 75 with a good carb tune up

Hate to tell you, but I have a block that will go in an "M" that measures 4 1/8 in. before we start.
