Recently pulled for the first time, think I am developing a taste for it. Would like to get involved in one of the clubs around my area. What is the club called that is mainly in the Illinois/Wisconsin boarder area. Say around Madison/Rockford/Freeport area?

Hey Bud;
Welcome to the sport. My adopted Parents, more especially my Dad, Larry Cornelius is in charge of the pull at the steam show. He has taught me more by accident than i could ever hope to learn on my own. Pulls a mean '47 G JD. talk to the other pullers there. Weak Ender's and River Bend to which I both belong are good clubs and you will learn alot from all of them. Hope to see you at Shannon Day's on Labor Day Weekend.
e-mail me if you like and I will share some thoughts with you as will JDK. Great guy and has been like a older brother to me.
Sincerely
Eric

Actually there are two clubs located close to your location and an additional club located a bit farther south. The Weak End Antique Tractor Pullers, Dairyland Antique Pullers and the Riverbend Antique Pullers. Each one of these organizations operates in different areas throughout Wisconsin and Illinois. The Weak End Antique Pullers in located in northern Illinois and has pulls on about every Saturday throughout the summer. Tonight and tommorrow, they will be officiating a pull at the Freeport Steam Show. You may also choose to participate with the Dairyland Antique Pullers located in southern Wisconsin. They cover areas from Edgerton to Platteville. The last club in the area is the Riverbend Antique Pullers who are located around the Thompson, Illinois area. They will also be working this evening with the Weak End Antique Pullers later this evening in Freeport. If you contact me at [email protected], I would be more then willing to provide you with club presidents and numbers!

Up around Madison and to the west-southwest of there you will also find the Community Antique club.

Would you be interested in coming to Northern Indiana for a tractor pull in South Bend Indiana next week?
