MW 6inch Stroke???????for a farmall M

M&W ever make a 6inch stroke for a farmall M...some guys at a pull told me they sold an M that had one in it...i didn't say anything but i knew that the most common one was 1/3 inch more stroke

M&W MADE A 5 3/4 FORGED STEEL CRANK. IT WAS REFERED TO AS THE M&W 65 . IT MADE THE "M "A TRUE 4 PLOW TRACTOR WITH THE 4 1/4 PISTON AND THE GAS HEAD AND THE FACTORY RODS IT MADE A HIGH TORQUE 65 HORSE POWER TRACTOR. YOU WOULD THINK THAT FARMALL WOULD HAVE CAUGHT ON AND FOLLOWED SUIT IN THE 400'S AND THE 450'S . AS USUAL THE ' FLOGGER 'IS RIGHT. HEY FLOGGER WILL YOU BE AT OAKBORO FOR THE 9-13 PULL . ALSO OUR PULL IN HARTSVILLE WILL BE THE FIRST SATURDAY IN OCTOBER. BRING YOUR M AND PULL SUPER ANTIQUE. WE WILL NEED ALL THE TRACTORS WE CAN GET. TX, DR SR

any of the M&W cranks I have seen for the M's have been made of cast iron the I-H cranks are steel

HUHHHHH???..only 65 horse power, we have a M with a gas head and M&W pistons 264 cubic inch that makes 55 horse power....shouldn't 326 cubic inches make more than 10 more horse power over the 264

It's pretty easy to get 50-55 HP out of a "stock" M. Seems like once you get past that it takes a lot of blood, sweat, and uh well.... dollars, but it's also amazing what another 10-15 horses will do to the personality of an M. Wish I had a train car load of those M&W cranks and pistons to sell.

SAME HERE...we pull a few M's...we have got on with 264 and one with 281...to me when they pull it seems like their is a 10hp. difference

The M&W stroker crank gave another 1/2 stroke makng 5 3/4. With 4 1/4 pistons 326 cid.

The M&W stroker,was a 1/2"more stroke,making it 5 1/4" stroke.

I think you are correct. I have not heard of a 6 in M crank from M&W ,I think that is was a 1/4 inch stroker, (1/8th inch offset) 5.5 stroke. hope that is right! ChadS
