With out the cubes the bigger carb will hurt the power you are making now,,,the best thing you can do is get on a dyno and tune up your motor,,sorry the bolt on power just is'nt out there,if you want to pull with the big dogs you need to play the same game,,what will help is a 400 or 450 GAS head, an LP manifold, and W-9 carb.,get the pertronix ignition with the 40,000 volt coil and autolite 4116 spark plugs gap at 35ths,set your timming at 22 degrees advance(use advance timming light) at 1600 RPM,run 89oct gas,,NOW make shure you have copper core plug wires also,,get on the dyno when you get it running and TUNE to best power at 550 PTO,this setting is VERY important you Must use 550 PTO,this will load the motor good and when tunned in,it will have good grunt for what you have,,,,, ,keep posted..... ...
