The best thing for V-cuts on any tractor is to not put them on in the first place,they work real well on a tractor with wheel speeds of 80mph or so,for SLOW speeds forget it!,now V-cuts will work if you are going to stop a wash out to a drainage ditch,or as a flower planter,they are real sweet as a rope swing the kids keep them selves bussy for hours,you can use them for drive markers,or we find that V-cuts are great for holding down tarps on the feed bunkers they won't get stolen because nobody wants them and they are easyer for the shredder because of the less rubber on them,also V-cuts are a money maker you can buy them cheep and sell them to people that don't know better,in some cases you can double your money,also we use V-cuts on the front of our beet trucks as bumpers,and in the middle of two chains,they act as a cushion and take out the shock when the chains get tight,,,so in away,yea,V-cut do work!

for the last two years the winners of the tunica mississippi King of the Hill pull have been running V-cuts and neither of which are open gear tractors (Elmers Glass's M and the Moline that won it this year)I am pretty sure elmer only has 507 cubic inches in his M and pulls the V cuts, THEY WILL WORK

what gear do you run? 3rd in the 6000? if you go fast, they would work, if slow, no, I wouldn't take them over the set of road worn tires on our late A.

Oh yeah, they'll work great...to the tune of 90 feet because that's all the further that any John Deere could make it one them.
