I couldn't make it to Simsboro, had family plans,I heard it was a GREAT pull!I will be there next year for sure.I heard Jim Broome swept away the competution, with some loadin' up early and goin' home.It was also rumored that the big bad black widow got his tractor sabotaged!!This can't be true. Will some one please post the true tale of the tape, or tell us if its posted somewhere else. Also what about the "A",I heard the crank broke, who put it together the owner or the builder?

I do not know if the Black Widow was tampered with, I doubt it, there were too many people walking around and taking pictures of the tractors, besides, it was parked 2 tractors down from me and we were 10 to 15 feet from where all the pullers gathered to watch the pull.

Last I heard is they believe the crank broke on the A while loading it up for the pull. That is all I know.

Enjoyed reading the article about you in the hook.

I believe we are coming to Batesville, I hope to get the results from Simmsboro soon and post them. Don't have a web site yet, but I am working on that also.

I did ok at the pull, I missed my weights in the 7,500, tied with Sonny Daniels for 2nd in 5,500 combined, and had a 2nd in the 5,500 open.

I was there pulling at Simsboro, it was a good track but it was sure a horsepower track. It was the hardest pulling track i have ever been on. I saw the black G pull and he only liked one inch making a full pull, i thought it pulled good, but Mr. Broome's M farmall was really pulling good. They had to lenghten the chain twice to stop it. As far as anyone messing up any tractors i did'nt see or hear about anything going on at that time. Everyone seemed to have a great time, i know i did. Also had to run lots of weights on front because the track was biting so good.
