Don't get stuck on the RD in front of the CID. There are also other blocks of the same size and shape. FB and several others, in 406 or 426 and 450 and 501.

hmm dont those bolt into the w-40's and such..although its hard to hide the freeze plugs and have to modify the crank snout on the 501 if using tractor balancer and pully..not to bad though..easy hp for the money..just have to get by tech

i guess i need to sell the 2 that i have then ..even though i conistantly get 1st or second in antique pulls with mph rules around here..thanks for your help ..all this time i thought i was doing ok but guess i need to get a diff tractor and spend lots of money and then whine because what i have then doesnt work. what would you suggest terry ..and what do you pull thats so great...or is this just a dig at the gentleman from ill that is very successful in the natpa with his w-40? jim hutson i beleive his name is.
