I'm in the process of doing the same thing. The block must be bored out to use the 350 sleeves. You will also have to get 350 connecting rods because the piston pin diamater is smaller on the 350, don't ask me why. The crank, cam, and head are the same as far as I can tell, but I haven't put mine together yet. Also keep in mind my H is a 1944, maybe the later or earlier models are different. I am still not 100% sure it will even work. If I learn something else I'll post it for you. Good luck.

The heads are not the same. A 350 head are better. the cam and crank are not the same as an H either. go big, bore it out and stroke it and you will have a good H. bore it to 4" and stroke the crank

If you went with a 4" bore and a 6" stroke, what kind of rods and pistons would you use.

I can help you with any kind of modification you could ask for when talking about pulling farmall tractors. I have 4 H tractors in active pulling today, depending if you have a first gear rule, a 350 sleeve and piston set and using the stock H head would make about 45-50 hp, and 14.9x38 tires would be a great combination up to division 2 NATPA standards. If you wanted more power, you could bore the H block out to 3-13x16 bore, and stroke it an inch, (half inch offset) you would get 240 cuin. this engine with a stock cam makes about 65-70 hp. Use 806 pistons, and use stock rods, all you have to do is build a wrist pin bushing in the rod. like what you hear? I can tellyou how to get the big hp out of a H!
I currently run a 1940 H that is 320 CuIn, and 130 hp! This tractor will scare the oliver 77's and some 88's, I also build engines, trans, rear ends, posi tracs for farmall H-450. I can profile your tractor to make it pull farther.
