You know, I bought a tractor that I was thinking of tractor pulling with. But after all the posts I read about "I can pull better that you" and "I don't want to putt putt along and piddle along in low gear" and "bring it on" All the posters on here have given me a bad taste. If all you can do is bicker and cut people down. I don't want to be a part of it.

That's just the way it is son, you need to be able to take a lot and dish out a little and don't take it to serious like I do. I pull Cockshutt's and I hate everything else out there, and I hate everbody I pull aganst.
There, I don't know about you but I feel better now.

Sorry you feel that way. Many of my good friends are tractor pullers, and thats how we met. Best weekend getaway all year is to Sigouney IA to the pull and see all the gang.

Sure, I'm going to try to beat you on the track, but I'll also help you throw weight, figure out your balance, tell you where the holes are, etc. By and large, tractor pullers are some of the best people you'll ever meet. And yes, as in everything else in life, you'll find pullers you don't like. All part of the package.

You need to take up ballet, golf, or gymnastics! If you can't take a little kidding, you don't belong in this sport/hobby! I haven't been to a tractorpull but what there has been some trash talking, but 95% of the time it is in fun and not intended to be taken seriously! I'd rather win/place and take the trash talkin, than to be the also ran and have everyone be politically correct toward me!

Come out and have a ball with us. The groups I pull with help each other all the time. If its not borrowing tools, helping throw weights, borrowing weights to someone in the same class, or offering a cold beverage ( of your choice) when the pull is done. You'll always have one or two guys that get too competitive over a $2.00 trophy and $10.00 purse. Keep pulling!

of course if you notice, all the bickerers and ones doing the mud slinging never give an email address, so obviously have to go in secret to talk trash, so don't let that stop you from hooking up there are a-holes in every crowd and this is just a place for them to sound off...

Of course what bothers the "stock" pullers with big bucks invested? When a mud and manure covered two cylinder stocker in low gear with good balance and hard biting tires places in the class top three.
