Types of Tractor Pulls

Please explain the various types of tractor pulls. I see Derby, Western, & Transfer. I presume transfer means using a transfer weight sled on a length of track but what goes on at these other types? I have seen some where you pull a weighted sled so far till a length of chain or whatever is stretched out and moved completely, what type pull is this. Thanks

Derby pull is a weighted sled, some call it a dead weight sled, usually barrels of concrete
Western pull is people standing along the track and they step on the sled as you pull down the track.
Transfer is a moving sled like you said.

I think I'm correct on this. Correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks, Don

If I understand what you are asking, what you are referring to is a dead weight pull, or some call it tug pulling.
