I am wondering what weight class a stock super C should be in. How much weight should it pull, and how far? I know it depends on a lot of stuff like tires and track condition, but I was trying to get an idea. thanks

John,
Based on my experience, if you can get into a light enough class where you have more power than the other tractors in the class AND can get it to the ground, you should be pleased with the results. I think you surprised everyone by being able to pull the big boys' Bushwacker Sled yesterday! I'm glad you had an opportunity to pull at the So. MD Promoters' pull. We're planning to have the same Farm Stock classes next time, so I'll look forward to seeing you there next year. I guess it was pretty obvious the difference weight plays as the Super C with water in the tires seemed to do much better than the one without water. Although most successful pullers do not run water in the tires, but instead rely on add-on weights which can be moved around to balance the tractor depending on track conditions.

Mine pulls in the 3000 pound class but I had to remove the generator, the muffler, all linkage from the arms, and only put about two gallons of gas in the tank. There is a fellow that pulls around here that has his in the 2500 pound class. He has removed all the hydraulics, half the gears in the transmission, the PTO housing in the back, and runs a mag so no battery is needed. He usually takes two or three trophies every time so he obviously knows what he is doing.

Our C typically weighs around 3100lbs without any hanging weight but with 225lbs of driver. All of the hydraulics have been removed, no fluid in the rear tires. Was just over 3600lbs with the Touch Control lift and fluid in the rear tires.

In the 3250lbs class you'll spank the Allis WC's if they're really stock. The little Ollies will send you home wondering where to get some more horsepower.
