I can only guess!! Maybe the nitpickin' of everybody's tractors, that wasn't in the "click"
or let me guess the highest freakin' hook fees ever...All of us love tractor pulling but It's supposed to be for fun, yes sometimes alot of us are guilty of going to far,but most of the time we police ourselves and resolve most situations. These NAPTA rules would be ok if they were applied equally!!But unfortunately this is not the case. There are plenty of good pulls outside the NAPTA NAZI realm, and when you leave they know your name and you get told," thank you and we want you to come back"
Its funny the numbers weren't down at Tunica or Cleaveland!!Wise up pullers if your name isn't burch, bear, wenzig or something like these your just paying(through the nose)for heartache!!Try driving 5 hrs each way for them to tell you the hitch is 3/16 to close to the center of the axle(do you think his tape was exactly on the center casting mark,Who knows)MAYBE THIS IS WHY NUMBERS ARE DOWN AT ALL PULLS FROM LAST YEAR!!!!! !! Check the records or your hook magazine.
Elect someone in NAPTA that listens to everyone, not just the CLICK!!!

First I'm not a natpa member but I have pulled with them. I hear a lot of complaints about nitpicking tractors, but I have not heard of a legal tractor being dq'ed. Your example on hitch length is very simple, they have to draw the line somewhere, why not eighteen inches? Should they let 3/16 go and dq 1/4inch too long? After all it is only 1/16 more. If all the pullers would read the rules and follow them, they will be allowed to pull, and then your complaints might be taken seriously. But who wants to listen to the guy who just got caught cheating!!!

I'm still trying to figure out why the tech guys in Murray ok'ed a friend of mines tractor to pull in Div II even though he did have an external fuel tank on it then after he won the class the same tech offical dq'ed him for the tank. Of course since he did pull the sled NATPA kept his money. Yea he was illegal, but he was just as illegal when they passed his tractor as he was after he pulled.

Someone once wrote on here that instead of getting on here and griping the people should be calling NATPA and complaining. I think from what I have read on here is that some if not alot have tried and the answer they get is "Oh well" from NATPA. Maybe they want to keep the others who read this informed on what is going on since the organization doesn't seem to worry about it alot.

Attendance has been down at all the events this year. Economy, pending war I believe are a few factors.

It will be interesting to see the attendance/showing at the DeKalb here in Columbus Ohio this weekend.
