I have yet to understand why people try to get a heavy tractor into a lighter class. Why not show your real horsepower and add weight. It is more impressive to see a smaller tractor weighted down and beat bigger, heavier tractors. A smaller lighter tractor just spins out and never uses engine. Unless it is easier to take out weight than build horsepower.

if the tractor is lighter.. it is easier to set up.. because you have more movable weight.. and its funner to go faster..

get light, go fast, never win any big pulls, sell tractor, tell everyone how awesome it "was", run back east and wish it would have happened....

More cubes outta a bigger tractor. so go pull with littler tractors with less cubes and win. thats the concept but hasn't been mastered by many ppl. yet

I agree with you. I always see light tractors not doing good. Just add weight and it pulls alot better. You can get the tractor balanced better and the power matches weight better. Just my opinion. Don

In most cases it is cheaper to go lighter than to make more horsepower. Plus when you go lighter you can usually step it up a gear, maybe two. Momentum usually equals more distance down the track. Just my humble opinion after pulling a few years.
