If so how much striping would I have to do? Would it even be worth it?

John, it can be done but you will run out of balance weight. I have pulled a 60 for several years and with about everything stripped that can be taken off the tractor with me on it will weigh about 5300 with 15.5-38's on it. I can run 16.9-38's and will add about 150 lbs. The trouble with most 34" rims is they are made out of heavier material than most of the older 38" rims. A light set of 18.4 38's on a light set of rims will often weigh no more and sometimes less than an equivalent 34". I machine cut tires on a custom basis and have scales that I can weigh wheel and tire combinations and this has been my experience. Hope this helps. Mike

Do you have 18.4x34s yet? What are you planning? Cut tires or not? I have some 18.4x34 Firestone Deep Treads that are a perfect canidate for cutting. How does your JD60 pull? I am used to seeing 70s and things. Always been curious on that new of a Deere machine. I like them. Just curious.
