1946 M-H 81. We mainly pull in local club pulls
on almost any surface imaginable. These are the
type of pulls that have a between class water cart
made out of an old heating oil tank for the track
in dry years. They are the best and so are most
of the people. This tracor pulls anywhere between
3000 and 4500. It does a great job and has
several plaques and ribbons to her credit. As for
rules, well I'm looking for something else to do
on the weekend of July 20th. Goto this page to
see why. little-mountain.com/pioneer/pull.html
The word overkill comes to mind. Also they left
one off the list. ONE HOOK PER DAY PER TRACTOR.
Show's only for 2 days so not a lot of pullin' to
be done. If any of you guys get a chance, check
out Mercer Co's antique pull. No hard work...
just fun. (only downer is a pace tractor but
that's for safety.)

SEE YOU ON THE TRACK - ALAN

Only just one question. I'm a Spanish girl and I'm translating "Seven" (the film) to Galician. In the film apears the expresion "tractor pulls" and I don't know what they're talking about. Could you answer me and tell me what a tractor pull is? Thank you very much.

Tractor pulling is a contest where a tractor driver with his or her tractor, at close to the same weight and horse power, attempts to pull a transfer sled like the one in the picture farther down a dirt track than other drivers.

47MM U in COATPA div 3, along with farm and brush pulls. 5500 - 8500

MH 101 Super (Wifes tractor) to hit the track next weekend for the first time. Will start in div 1, probably eventually set it up for div 2, hoping for 3500 & 4000.

Pull in Eastern and Central IN, Western OH, (and Sigourney IA's pull in March)

Just have to stay away from Dick L and his Outlaw Ollies....

Slo, when you stay away from where I pull, I actually have a chance to win. I will still show up when I can to watch you pull and learn how it is done.

I pull a '54 JD70 with a wide front end. I pull in the stock classes, 6500 and 7500#'s. So far I haven't had any great success, but I have a lot of fun. My brother has a Farmall 560 diesel that pulls the same classes, and has done very well with it. We live in central New York.

I pull mostly the light club classes in North West Ohio, North East Indiana, and some in Southern Central Michigan. No cut tires, 16" to 20" drawbars, mostly 18" though, several only two sets of factory weights on the rear and no front weights. Tractors I use are a B Allis in the 2500# class, a C Allis in the 2800#/3000# classes, a 66 Oliver in the 3500# class, a 77 Oliver in the 4500# class, and an 88 Oliver in the 6000# class. I am to old to throw weights and only pull in the class I have them set up for. Oh and I am not the Dick (burns) refered to. I don't call people or tractors nasty names. I will poke fun at your putt, putt's at the pulls.

Every track is different at the club pulls. We get to pull on every thing from a gravel road through hard and soft sand to a sticky clay. Biggest challange and most fun is to read the track and change the tractor setup for the conditions at the time you pull.

I think we know who I am referring to without naming names. How does your little Allis' run? My father in law has a B he has equipped with a finish mower. I don't see any B's at our pulls. Mainly because 4500 is the lightest class.

The B runs well, I have last years C engine in it untill I get its engine rebuilt. Some of the parts came in yesterday for it. Got first the only time I pulled it this year. I got two firsts and a third out of four pulls with the C. I got a first and a third out of four pulls and a full pull off with seven other tractors and came in 6th with the 77 and have not loaded the 66 or 88 this year. I load three tractors at a time and only make two trips if it is within 25 miles or a two day pull.

According to someone on this board who we will refer to as Dick, I pull a piece of $hit John Deere G in first gear only but can't compete. Did I get that right Dick?

Oh yeah it goes putt putt bang bang

ROFL

I can also be found on a Farmall 400 & M. But don't worry about the farmalls they don't dominate any more...isn't that right Dick???

I pull a 1942 farmall M with most everything stock in 4500# to 8500# depending on where at. We have a bunch of half assed rules that everybody is always arguing about. I pull in Northern Kentucky. Surronding Mason County area.

Ok Rich,I will break the ice.I pull a JD 70 in the 7000 lb farmers class(non cut tires and first gear only)with a 20 inch drawbar height.I have a 52 JD G that I just got restored and plan to pull it too.I hope to pull both tractors with the G in 6 to 6500lb class. We use USAP rules most of the time although there are some modifications to some rules at different pulls.I am in the west Tennessee area with pulls all around throughout the season.Later,Jack(TN).
