Why would John set up a pull in Princeton the same weekend as the NATPA pull in Murray, KY?

We have very few pulls in the midwest in the winter as it is. Don't understand why this was done so we can't make both of them.

It certainly wasn't in Antique Tractor Pulling's best interests!

HEY JOHN :While you are answering the question about the dates, could you also tell us where the sponsorship money from Kioti goes? Since there is no treasurer for USAP who can tell us where the money is at or how much there is? Another thing, where does all the money from dues go? USAP has never had a point system,so no awards to buy or banquet to pay for. Maybe the USAP pullers that think a few NATPA members are getting rich should look at this organization a little closer. Who is the promoter at all pulls? Who collects all membership dues? Who gets sponsorship money? Who gets to see the books to keep an eye on your clubs money?

Let me guess a die hard NATPA member. You are the first person that I have ever heard complain about how John runs his organization. Maybe you should leave your name and number next time so that John can possible replie to your concerns. Since you know so much then maybe you could possiblily tell us whoes sled will be at Murray, rumor has it that the sled yall used last year has been sold.

If you go to the USAP website, Contact Information page, you will see that it says United States Antique Pullers

Owned and operated by:
John and Rob Lampkin

USAP is a business for profit! John answers to no one. Dues go to him for his use as he wishes. The Board is advisory only.

Why not ask NATPA why they decided to pull the same weekend as Sigourney?

John tried to work with them 2 or 3 years ago about the same weekend problem. He wanted to not pull on the same weekends or change the classes around so pullers had the chance to pull at one or the other or both. Their president agreed to this plan, some others (the board?) over rode him, so that's why it's this way. They schedule on top of others also. I think Princeton on Jan. 11th. was set before NATPA's schedule came out.

Until the NATPA let John sponsor pulls no one knew he existed. He dropped NATPA for the love of money - not tractor pulling. And he had a pull on Thanksgiving Weekend when that had been an NATPA pull weekend for three years.

The NATPA Pull at Murray has been the same weekend since they were started in 1999. John knew that before he scheduled his pull - and the Murray sponsors had helped John at his pulls in the past. What a friend!

Kearney had their pull the same weekend as Sigourney before the NATPA existed. They are locked into that weekend because of the building availability.

If John and USAP thinks having pulls on top of others is wrong, why do they do it?

What difference does this make?
Both outfits have loyal pullers.
Just go to one you prefer.
We will all have a good time.
