Does anyone out there have any information on Waukesha VIK engines. They were used in the Oliver 18-27, 18-28, and 80. I want to know what other applications these Waukesha engines were used in; I am looking for a better intake manifold.

I did see a picture on the net of a I/R compressor that had one of these engines in it. Where can I find one?

i have a vik engine that is coupled to an ir air compressor. I too need a manifold and have just found a supplier, they are pricey though, maybe buying two can get us a discount. these engines were used in huber l's, and lc's also. I would be interested to compare notes with you if you are still interested. Near as i have been able to find out mine dates to around 1943. the huber engine i saw was a vik 2id, 4 1/2" bore, 5 1/4 stroke, my engine is a vik 4h, with the same bore and stroke. I don't know what the differing characters mean, but the manifolds looked the same, both use zenith carbs.

I don't know about waukesha but I do know
that Buda Disel engines evolved into A/C
at one time they were called Buda/Lanova They
were 855 C.I.D. and were used in Allis Chalmers
Earth Movers (Scrapers).

Rick; I have one of these motors in a I/R
compressor. It runs good, I have used it for 17 years. I would sell. Compressor also works
good.

I think they were the forerunner of the Allis engine. Try talking to people in Wisconsin.
